So Cakewalk is closed... all the world seems to know... Where is the email telling all the people that don't creep the forum, notification? I mean really!? No email announcement? That's really off!

I was pondering this myself.
 
What percentage of the user base don't even know of Cakewalk's demise?
 
Email announcement? Given their track record with the Newsletter subscribers' database, they'd probably only reach 10% of the user base.

I've never had even one marketing email from CW in 11 years, so I'm not exactly checking my in-box now...

I'm always intrigued by these mysterious people who use a DAW but never frequent any of its forums or social media groups. How in the hell do they cope? What about when they need to ask a question? Do they rely purely on support? Unthinkable! Apart from anything else, not visiting the forums demonstrates to me a basic lack of curiosity about the tool they're using.

I used to never stop here until Cakewalk tech support sucked! but by the time I did get here I was sooo mad...
that it never ended well... I have had at least 3 real accounts in the last hum? like 7 years. but they must have been removed when they had that Email account issue... 2015?
I've been using Cakewalk software for many years. When you are into computers you want to solve the problems yourself if you can. I don't even think about it. Just try and get it to work... So... lol ,yea people may have only tracked passed only once in a wile... They probably don't have lifetime anyway. 
Hum? it's almost like tech support got bad to drive everyone here to join the lifetime membership! Marketing at its worst. :(
