So my question is this:  "do you think that cakewalk has really listened to the customers?

I think they listen in terms of profit. No matter what it's a buisness and they need to make x amount of dollars profit. Most buisness plans involve doing better profit wise each quarter or year.

So in regards to what the customers needs are If they think  they will help sales ....Then yes they listen

If the customers needs wants or demands won't generate a profit or cause profit to decline .... Then they don't listen ... Or they listen but don't do

Cakewalk products are great ...I use them

But the bottom line is money ...and cakewalk existence is to make money

If if we don't like that truth ..... It's that

Yes. I guess. If not then I'd have to think they were liars...don't care to think that so..yes, they listen.

I mounted an effort to get the specific drum map solo bug/pi$$ poor operation into the fix queue.

I posted a fred in the X1 forum calling for people to submit a bug report just like I did.

IIRC at least 25 people said they submitted one too.

The bug/pi$$ poor operation is still there in X2 (I confirmed it yesterday).

And......... I have never even heard back from CW on the status of my bug report.

Define "listen".

Probably more than many companies, but they do have a habit of continually brushing certain questions under the carpet and the misleading marketing of late leaves a bit of a sour taste for me.

On the whole, I think Sonar is a truly great product and I genuinely believe the CW guys that frequent the forums really want it to be the very best it can be.

If someone is spying on this thread then at least that would be listening to us, would it not?

bapu - I am one of the supporters of that initiative and I have submitted that request myself.
