@bapu... Fair enough (I obviously wasn't around back then). Maybe they could have an open source version for the uber smart dudes to fiddle with like Reaper. It really likely comes down to money. Just like most businesses if it's not actually going to make money you generally don't do it. However that is typical business practice and as humanist I'd like to see businesses move into more of a benevolent approach. Actual dollars and cents aren't the only currency in society. Happiness and well being of your customers, employees and society as a whole is good for everyone AND can still makes money... in fact many businesses that do include the human element into their bottom lines tend to be quite successful. Burn down the business schools!

I mounted an effort to get the specific drum map solo bug/pi$$ poor operation into the fix queue.

I posted a fred in the X1 forum calling for people to submit a bug report just like I did.

IIRC at least 25 people said they submitted one too.

The bug/pi$$ poor operation is still there in X2 (I confirmed it yesterday).

And......... I have never even heard back from CW on the status of my bug report.

Define "listen".
So is that in any of the videos that BikerBoy made?

I thought my question was a good one.

The answer to you question (if I understand it correctly) was in my post. The bug/poor implementation still exists in X2 (highlighted in bold red above). I'm not sure why Karl would point out a bug, but TBH I have his vid but have not started watching it yet.

@beagle... Oh I definitely didn't have anything to do with it... lol. I just thought it was a pleasant coincidence. And sorry about the blocks of text. I try to put breaks in when I'm planning on going on a rant but sometimes my thoughts get away from me. I really should get around to installing Opera.

hey, beepster - you know there's an "IE tab" plugin you can use for FF, too, right?  it allows you to use FF but emulate IE on a tab.

Oh and I have optimized the system (I should take another look at it though). They aren't full drop outs or anything. It's just when I use something like the LP64 Multi Band (or pretty much any of the LP plugs) the volume drops as I move the setting. It makes it hard to compare the original setting to the new one.

Ah yes. FBB told me about that one. I had forgotten. I'll check it out. Cheers.

I hardly doubt my input had anything to do with it but I squawked a bit about how crappy the layers were and BOOM... take lanes.

So, you're the guy I should *blame* for the new, can't zoom in far enough to see the details, but it wastes more screen space take lanes?

Good Boy!

I kid. I kid.

I'm not blaming you.

best regards,
mike

I've heard a few reports that the take lanes weren't exactly the greatest in regard to viewing data. Please tell me that I can view one take lane at a time and not have ALL of them stuck on the screen. That was my major issue with layers. Too many of them and the were too tiny to work with. I guess I'll find out soon enough. I should probably get to work.

That was/is how sadly LP64 worked through X1.

Do you still see that behavior in X2? I'm not.

I just installed yesterday and got sucked into TH2 for a few hours (man is it good) before I got a chance to test any X2 stuff but in the webinar they mentioned that type of behavior had been fixed. Good to have that confirmed. Thanks, bapu.
