...at least as far as this forum is concerned.  It's Win7 64bit running latest IE...the same as my studio computer...and neither works worth a dang with this forum.  About half the time, probably more, when I try to post or even move to another page I get nothing...then the "this page is not responding" dialog.  I always have to remember to copy my posts just in case they get lost trying to post them.  Yeccccchhhh.  If I wait...say, quite literally, go have a sandwich...the posts will usually get posted.  But not always.  So what, exactly, is it that this forum does not like?  Other than ol moi, of course.

I know your pain.

But I noticed a bright side to it....when I use the notebook I turn it off
quicker and do stuff I enjoy.

Now at work it's different. They use old computers with old stuff...really trash
in the computer world..and it works fine here. Does that mean sumppin'?

Olpal, try it with Google Chrome. I don't have Win7, but there's no problem in my old Vista.

Google Chrome is the answer. I think this forum software is perhaps very old (it certainly looks like it's been around since the dawn of the century) and was probably designed with older browsers in mind. Maybe Chrome is more back compatible.

Actually it may be people trying to post at about the same time and the server can not handle all the traffic. Remember things have changed and the Internet is monitored by the external forces that be. There has been a lot of traffic lately on this forum concerning X2. I also run into this on other forums lately also when posting depending on the traffic on the forum.

Wreck!

I don't have that problem with IE.  I'm using the latest version at home and at work and no issues at all.

are you perhaps using the 64bit version of IE?  (there are 32bit and 64bit versions)

using the 64bit version has given me problems with a lot of websites, so I don't use it at all, I only use the 32bit version.

yup...64bit.  I just tried clicking the little broken page thingy.  We'll see if it does anything when I try to post.  Here goes.
