and by late I mean in their forties?  is it even possible to start professional carrier in any field after you turned forty?
I many fields there is an age discrimination as i see it.

Just curious how much time I have still left to my first Grammy

I think it is possible no doubt.Depending on what line of study. Some being more difficult than others for an older guy. Ability seems to trump age in music although being in good shape in the later years is always an advantage.

You would think that old rock and roll front men would be more prone to the age factor but I still see them around wrinkles and all.You could substitute a pug for a few of those guys and never tell the difference.Doesn't stop em' though. IMO The only thing stopping you is you. It might be more difficult but not impossible and in some cases easier.

Bonnie Rate (spelling) was 40 or very near it, when she got famous.   Also..  uh, "If it makes you happy, it can't be that bad,"  Name escaping me right now..   was well into her 30s.

but we are not living in that type of music industry anymore..   That is why you see major record companies only pushing kids..   Like Justin Bieber, and Taylor Swift and whatever..

meh, I don't want to get into it

Peace
