philz, that is a fun piece.   I liked the original too, but it is neat to hear how you slid to the right and turned this country.

Of course your ensemble is legendary round these here parts, so I expect a top notch piece, and you deliver.
 
I think I said the first version sounded very cali, now I can say this one sounds nashville.  keep them coming my bother.
 
Who are the girls in the picture?  They were very distracting holding those guns and all.

Great version, Phil! Where did you find these banjo and pedal steel guys? The arrangement sounds really good. Great fiddle fills as usual from Scott, its mandatory for a nice country song as this. Didn't hear the first version but this sounds very right!

The genre-switch works very well. Along with the instrument changes, I suppose you'd have to get into a CW mind set as well, which could be a lot of fun. I enjoyed listening to this version. I also kind of liked the photo on your Soundcloud page.

Hi Phil, this is awesome! Not sure what I was expecting but this is pretty much perfect. Even the lyrics seem to be suited to this style. Great playing and singing from everyone involved.

Dean- Thanks.  Yes, this was originally a rocker, and some of those elements still remain.  I love mixing genres.

Well, I am sending this to you because I have no complaints.  This is a great community effort by a bunch of great musicians.  Timing is perfect and I was impressed by the way the vocals really fell in perfectly with the rhythm of this song.  It made me want to get up and two-step and I don't know how to do that (or dance for that matter).
