I was rehearsing with a blues band back in the '90's and someone decided to break into my Vauxhall Astra parked outside the hall. They started by trying to crowbar the door open, then eventually realised it was easier to break the window. £500 of damage for stupidity.

The worst thing was that they rifled through my cassettes but didn't take any, just left them on the floor...

I didn't think there were any new tape decks.  It still sucks. Sorry to hear about that.  Did they damage the car?  

People still steal CD players...aren't they built into the car??  And worth almost nothing?
