lol!  well, I used to have a Texas Alcohol license to serve and that's what they explained to us.  if the person looks like they're under 40 then card.  And you can card for anyone, regardless of how old they look.  If you card an 80 year old and he doesn't have a valid ID then by law you HAVE to deny selling him alcohol!

I never buy wine if it cost's more than $5 but only use it for cooking. If it looks like wine, smells like wine and tastes like wine?.... then that's good enough for me.

In Indiana they sell hard liquor in supermarkets. That was a surprise for me. In Georgia the "package store" lobby has a lock on liquor, you cannot even buy beer, wine, or liquor through the mail but any store with a license can sell beer or wine... and why can I make my own beer or wine but I cannot distill my own whiskey? Well, not legally anyway.

In NC wine & beer are sold at grocery stores. Coming from NJ where anybody who wants to can open a "liquor store" .... where all alcohol is sold.... that was strange at first. Here, the govt has a monopoly on the good stuff.

We had a specialty wine shop open a number of years back..... not enough wine snobs here to keep the doors open. If it's not Mad Dog or Boones Farm..... it must not be wine I guess.

I used to really love Mateuse Portuguese Rose'... but I can't seem to find that here in NC in the grocery stores.

I do not need to go out and buy wine...

I make my own home brewed wine.....the italian side of my family tought me how to and now my neighbors and co-works all keep asking me for the stuff....I can hardly keep up....

In fact I have no less than 18 GALLONS brewing / Aging / fermenting at any given moment!

nothing like dinner
some good home made wine
and evening with X1

Perfect!
