The Maillard Reaction

Quicktime Pro may do it. That's cheap.

Just about any video editor will do it if you set up the project with the proper dimensions and then rotate the imported video.

The gotcha is that the compression math and color spacing usually, but not always, works differently on the horizontal and vertical axis so when you re render in the new aspect you may see some noticeable artifacts pop out that were masked effectively in the initial file.

There are probably some free solutions... I have existing workflows so I don't know much about all that is available.

Hopefully some one will offer a great idea.

best regards,
mike

Well you have me curious Ed. I use Sony Vegas and don't know
if it will rotate video. I know I can put a filter on it and do it but
one button rotate?

What software are you using?

Nothing yet. That's the purpose of the OP. What should/could I use.

I wonder why magic carpets never took off.

I bought Vegas.  I was looking at several others and everyone on the forum berated me, called me names (like "becan-less") and generally made fun of me until I bought vegas and left the others alone.

it was kind of like grade school.

however, I have never tried what you want to do in vegas, either, but Shirley you can.
