I cannot imagine, however, putting salt on an apple.

Try it just once. It's wonderful.

Ever try salt on watermelon. Same idea.

Do you take the horns off first?

haha!  well, if you're on a diet, then leaving the horns on while salting will get you plenty of exercise!

It's a misconception that there are Antelope in North America. There are no native Antelope, the species is Pronghorn here. You see the cute little bugger's all over the highway once you hit the western side of Nebraska on 35.

Just sayin'. :)

fresh fruits and vegatables.  those are the best healthy snacks.

bobby - after your heart attack the doctor should have told you to see a nutritionist for help with your diet.  if he/she didn't then you should anyway.  I don't know what kind of insurance you have or if it would cover it, but you might need to contact your physician and get him/her to refer you to a nutritionist.  and you should follow his/her advice!

A low salt, low sugar, no fat diet = misery.

There is, however, a large but surprisingly elusive population of Jackalopes in Wyoming and  Southern Montana.

I'm still searching for the perfect, healthy snack that I'd actually like to eat (are yogurt raisans good for you??).

I am very grateful to V8 for coming out with their new Fusion drinks that are 50% vegetables hidden behind 50% fruit juice.  Now, whenever I might have gone for pure fruit juice or, worse, a can of soda, I just pour a glass of V8 Fusion.

Just as RockingChair craves salt on everything, I have to avoid sugar.  Some scientists say there are five different taste buds on your tongue, sweet, salty, sour, bitter and something called glutimate - whatever that is - but people tend to crave one of the group more than the others with sweet and salty being the two most popular.

What good is a salad if you pour tons of fat sauce on it. Not to mention the greasy crackers and such.

I've heard Italian dressing is good "But only if you buy this particular brand", the problem I have with that is the ingredients are the same and 2 dollars cheaper for the off brand.

What a sad world we live in where marketing is controlling most everything, we are treated like cattle everyday and the things the media pushes the most in our faces is MEDIA because they know that's the only way they can get their claws into us all. Same with this internet, most of this crap we have all bought we don't need at all, it's not a luxury when you think about it and how you use what you buy.

I guess I kinda changed the subject, but it does apply to food.

They've done test on this advertising crap, and what I mean by that is if you see a commercial or a thought or something like that telling you over and over so many times sooner or later when the subject applies to you you'll think "There the best, I'd better buy that because I've heard of them".  Or so it seems.

I'm turning my TV off as of now, I no longer listen to the radio at all. Heck I pay 120 dollars for TV service and 40 minutes most of the time of a show I'm watching that is and hour long is most of the time all commercials not to mention fill times where Charter my service provider is boasting about free speed improvements when my internet service has slowed down, and the rest of the hour long show ends up being a wait to see the conclusion next week. SO I'm done with TV as of now with the exception of movies I have purchased.

Somebody told me a long time ago that sometimes what you are really wanting to eat is because your body is lacking something, I'm sure some of you jokesters are going to have some fun with that comment, but what I am talking about is sometimes that might be true when your young, not so when you get older.

Oh well, those are a few of my crazy thoughts on the subject,

Bobby
