My wife also makes a wonderful fried rice dish and of course it's made to our taste with all the various s p i c e s (chili flakes, ginger, garlic etc....I'm not sure what else she puts in it, but a lot of what's already mentioned is in there).
When she does make fried rice (couple of times a month) I do know that the type of rice she uses is excellent (Jasmine Rice).... this rice is light, fragrant, and flavourful......which is also part of our daily staple diet.
