I think my neighbor is going to lose her cat;
because she is a flight attendant
and has been gone for many days
the cat is outside and pawing at her window;
but I don't want to snoop around
and I can't stand cats

When my neighbor returns
this cat will most likely be gone
and I will inform her of the pawing at her window

she will then give me a quizzical look
why did you not let in my cat
and I will respond about snooping around
and how I have a disdain for cats

What if the cat had been missing when she had to leave?

it could happen...   I did edit that spelling error......   not my fault, my brain moves way faster than I can type, and I have trouble seeing typos like that...

When I read the fred title I though it was one of Strummies...

What have you done with Strummy and how did you get access to his freds?

Some tomcat was spraying around our porch a few years ago. I got tired of it. I trapped the cat, took it to the vet and had it neutered. Brought it back home and let it go. I didn't see it for a long time. I bet someone was surprised. I eventually had to trap it again and took it across town, across the river, down a country road and released it. I have not seen it again.
Most cats I tolerate, unless they come into my fenced backyard and stalk the birds... which is what he was doing the second time.

You should get some cheap cat food and put a bowl out over there.... IMO. Then you will have a neighbor who owes you and will always remember it... just saying.A little good will goes a LONG way.

+1. Being kind and compassionate is also good for the soul. Bowl of water too would be nice.
Just be sure to put it in her yard so the kitty doesn't become yours.

PS. I really hate dogs but would NEVER allow one to suffer and/or starve if I had any way to help.

Yeah...  I remember having a stray sleeping under the steps next door that I would give some water or cigarettes to.  At least until Mick Jagger showed up and took Keef home.

Well now that you've posted this on a public forum, if something happens to that cat, your post should be enough evidence for your neighbor to have you charged with a crime and she would probably get a nice hunk of coin....just sayin'

Now that you've exposed your caper, I think J and Mike has some sound advice.. Especially if she's hot
Seems to me a great opportunity to make a friend    no?
