It looks like some of the $500.00 difference may be the $450.00 video card. Nice if you are doing heavy gaming, but mostly useless for displaying audio applications interfaces. If one of the pro audio machines is using that kind of video, you should definitely avoid that builder.

yup that's the exact system..
note the 4G not 2G 680 video card. (we don't even sell the 2g) assuming you are doing video editing? or some serious gaming.. dang I am still playing on an NVidia 285 (skyrim, tomb raider)
 
and yes we actually prefer to preinstall your software and interface. (up to 3 for free)
 
and sorry for the link I don't normally do that but since you asked !
 
 

oh and for giggles FYI a less capable system from rain as close as I could get it was $4100

The video card was my request.  I am very heavy into the flight games, FSX and Falcon.  I also do some video editing from time to time.

It looks like there are a couple of worthwhile upgrades that added to the cost.
 
I really don't expect them to match Amazon.  I'm paying for the piece of mind that I can upack, plug it in, boot and start making music.  Or fly off somewhere. 

There is also the support of if I start making music and and don't hear anything the person on the other end of the line can do more than tell me, "Did you reboot?"

I caught the video card RAM difference.  Don't feel too bad, I get my nvidia drivers from the archive section.
 
Speaking of interfaces I would like to add the V100.  I was tearing the Internet appart trying to figure out if I wanted the Mackie Onyx 820i when I ran across the V100 on your website.   Also I would like the upgrade the processor to the Intel Core i7 IVB @ 4.5 GHz.
