Apart from anything, the Royals are BORING. I'm simply not interested in any of the ceremonial nonsense they stand for, so I find any story on them completely uninteresting. Today I looked at the Daily Mail and found no less than EIGHTEEN stories on wassname and wassface on the front page. I mean even for the Royal-fawning DM, that's atrocious.

I find it mildly amusing that an organisation as far to the left as Auntie Beeb so openly embraces the monarchy and all it stands for (and the establishment in general for that matter).
 
Mind you, they all hang about long enough there to end up with some phoney-baloney title to show for their toadying.
