I think Wayne Krantz's solo in Donald Fagen's "Brite Nightgown" is AWESOME and I just can't get enough of that guitar tone. Man I could play for hours with that sound. Now why can't I get a tone like that with Guitar Rig, lol.

Solo is at around 2:20

Thanks for the reminder.  I hadn't heard that one in a while.  It sounds great.

Pretty much a Wah-Wah pedal, and great technique, and good playing ability from what I hear. Not trying to over-simplify but that is what I am hearing. The tone should be attainable. The rest would be up to you.

Anyone who has played with Steely Dan is a winner IMO. Being selected by Fagen & Becker is the ultimate accolade, in much the same way as having played in Zappa's band.

Wait a minute...  I thought 98% of the people in the music industry were in Frank's band at one time or another, no?

Yes, even Barry Manilow and John Denver!
