I liked it right from the start. Nice swells. Very cool results. Reading your reply to Phil, I noticed you used to following...

"Each Track used the PC Channel emulation, PC76U-Type Compressor (very lightly) and the Quad Curve EQ.
The two Busses Used:-
Master Buss - PC Buss Console emulation, PC4K S-Type Compressor (just for glue), Quad Curve EQ, and Tape Emulator.
Global Reverb - PC Buss Console emulation, PC4K S-Type Compressor (just for glue), Quad Curve EQ, PC ReMatrix Solo and Tape Emulator."

My question, or interest is concerning the console emulation. I can't seem to notice any differences when I experiment with them. What exactly do they do to improve the sound?

Also concerning the above mentioned compressors. I record acoustic guitar, and when I record there are transient peeks that have to be tamed. I have tried to use these compressors mentioned to see if I can even them out by setting a fast attack, release and various ratio's. However, when I bounce the results and look at the wave form I cannot see any difference regarding my attack setting. They seem to squash the whole signal, as if I'm using a long attack and release. Nevertheless, I can hear a difference. The problem is I like to visually see what I am actual compressing so I can make a better judgement regarding a setting.

Anyway, I like your project. I think it came out really cool for an experimental session. Unlike "BULLWINKLE", you managed to pull a very nice rabbit out of your hat!

Thank you Dean, I tend to use the CA-2A for the work you describe or I have Boz Digital's +10dB compressor.  I find the supplied are either very subtle or as you have noticed a little over the top, I tend to use them just for a little light glue.

The effect of the Channel emulation is quite subtle it adds a little noise and a few artefacts associated with the consoles they emulate.  It is an accumulative and some care needs to used when using.  I find they just add a little ambience to the sound.

Love those synth patches...  clear, wide and deep.   Err, like the sea.

Interesting, but this sounds like it would be more a "outer space" sound than under the sea.  Sounds like something I could get mentally lost in if I was in the right frame of mind.

Honestly this is one of my favorites that you've done.  I think it is because the synths employed are ideal for an open, spacey improv.  Just enjoying sitting on the futon and letting it wash over me.
Nice one!
