I was unawares of what that meant until now.

hehe, Yeah, I agree that a lot can be done with it. I'm starting to get more work using it and I'm lovin it =). Although big studios are on their way out, they'll never go away. For instruments like drums, it's difficult to not have them done in a nice studio. 

Perhaps a bit of flatulence is in order to clear the air once and for all?

If I made a DAW as good as Sonar, I would claim the same without the "opinion".

Having a "pro studio" to track drums really has nothing to do with the actual DAW being used and everything to do with  the room your tracking in and the quality of mics, pres etc.  I really don't see how what DAW is connected to that chain would make a difference. I have rented time in other studios to gain access to the room and the outboard gear.  What DAW they were using was never a concern for me. In most cases it has been pro tools but to be honest it could have been cubase or sonar for all i cared. 

It's the best DAW cause they say so. They have the POWER.... to say SO..

The thing is, the big shiny studios have had their day - most work these days is being done in basements.

What if I build a small semi-Gloss™ studio in my basement? Will that be ok?
