Sonar is not the best at anything, but all round is a good, solid DAW with good bang for the buck... Reaper is better value, Cubase has better features, StudioOne has a better audio engine, ProTools has more industry presence, Ableton is better on-the-fly...but for a solid-at-most-things (the Sm57 of the DAWorld) product, yep, it's good.....
(well 8.5 is, anyhow)
