I have to select a light laptop for mainly use with Sonar X2. My budget is $1,000 I am not going to record more than one stereo track at the time, but I would like to run more effects and instruments than what my current Compaq NX9420 can do.

The soundcard will probably be the RME Babyface.

My first consideration is the Lenovo Thinkpad Twist S230U

Do you use Firefox? This forum software doesn't seem to like Firefox. Open it up in Safari (or something else...I'm on a Mac) and it should work like you'd expect. HTH

After further investigating, I am stack in between this two, and I can not find any notable difference that could affect the performance as a DAW, or to help me decide (besides probably better graphics of the Yoga):

- Lenovo Thinkpad Twist i7-3537U
- Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13 i7-3537U

Anyone has experience with Sonar X2 and any of those two?

Or perhaps they are too new? I don't like the idea of becoming a guinea pig :-)
