Nice full on track. You did well with the mix as it is so easy to make this genre sound muddy in the bottom end.

Before they haul you off, I'd just like to say, very very good job. Those vocals were hilarious and awesome at the same time. I won't be able to hear the original without thinking of your incredible version.

I think you will end up being big in Japan, but probably even bigger in Iceland.

cheers,
-Tom

Agree with Tom -- the original will now seem forever lightweight in comparison!  Reminds me a little of the treatment Alien Ant Farm gave to Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal.  Nice work.

This was one of my favourite numbers way back when.  I took a chance on buying the Vapors newly released album (somewhere around 1980 and yes vinyl) and was delighted upon hearing Turning Japanese.  I played it so many times I doggone near wore out the track.  It took me a bit to get used to your cover, but I think you did a great interpretation of this number.  To me the original version was a fun song and your version certainly kept that spirit alive.

Nice one indeed!!!

Cheers! I can't take any compliments for the mixing department, but Mike can certainly take a bow!

Haha I'd take being big anywhere! Thanks for listening and I'm glad the humour hit the mark. When I first tracked some parts of it, I was just sitting there laughing upon playback and it was hard for me to tell if they rocked enough to balance it.
