I record on a 4gig computer, and mix on these standard computer speakers.
So...understandable there will be some no-no's. I didn't realize you can't post links here, hopefully it's not too much to ask to complete the URL in your address bar, heh.

You'd be best off posting this in the Songs forum.

On the other hand, the Techniques forum is fine to use for this if you are seeking advice on a specific mixing technique rather than just an open-ended invitation to listen to your song and comment.

Here's a proper link:

I can't listen to it right now, but I'm looking at the waveform and seeing a definite Philip Glass influence.

I think I did pretty well as far as guitars and synth sounds but I'm unsure of how
to better fit drums in the mix, or if they're fine as they are. The snare is really mid/low
and compressing it just makes it reverberate a lot more. I could turn off the bleed but I'd rather not.
I was hoping someones immediate comment would be about the snare/kick.

I'm listening thru a set of Bose noise cancelling headphones so take this with a grain of salt.
You need some "beater" in there on the kick to help "define" it better.
I can hear the "thump" (if you will) of the kick, but I would put some "click" in there as well.
I hope my adjectives are making some sense...
Oh ,and I love a "busy" kick, but man!
I get it, its the genre.
