So after days of reading, agonising and second guessing. I think I have my build model, now I'm looking to the experienced here to scrutinize and point out how I may improve it. There are a couple of compatibility niggles too I think. So in order to play, record and monitor in real time, utilize virtual instruments and doing complex mixes (while keeping a close eye on the pennies) I've gone from an inital AU$1990 build down to AU$1354 one. Of course if I can get that down even more without sacrificing, speed, quality, silence etc etc that would be the promised land. http://www.umart.com.au/newindex2.phtml?bid=5 which seems to have the best prices downunder, unless any aussies here can recommend somewhere else?. The compatibility doubt I had was with the Genesis Cooler and the Fractal Case etc.
