Hi all.  Has anyone used this RAM with the Gigabite GA-X58A-UD3R MB?

I'm wanting to install more RAM and there isn't much in the way of triple channel memory out there.  Thanks.

Paul

What RAM is currently in the DAW?
I'd add 6GB of identical if possible (three 2GB sticks).
If not, I'd replace the existing RAM with three 4GB sticks.

Hi Jim.  Thanks for the reply.

I have 3 X 2GB Corsair DDR3 Dominator Extreme Edition on the board now.  I can't add any additional sticks as the first slot is covered by the AM cooler so the 3 X 4GB was the way I was going to go.  I just can't seem to find out anything about this RAM.  Nothing on Gigabite's site.  Do you think this RAM will work OK.  I have the Corsair OC'd and it's been working great.

Thanks.

Paul

Hi Paul,

That RAM should work fine.
Once installed, test with Memtest to be sure all is well.

FWIW, I wouldn't recommend OC'd RAM.
That's begging for stability problems...

Thanks Jim.  Yeah, it's the CPU that's OC'd not the RAM.  My bad.
