Hello Everyone,
 
I was wondering how many dB does your compression reduce the sound of the bass while the kick is playing?  Mine only seems to be dropping -4dB and I don't feel it's doing much.   I was wondering what the consensus is on this.
 
Also, this damn annoying clicking sound?  If I raise the attack any more, it won't have any effect :(

A gain reduction of -4 dB is OK, you might want to try for a little more perhaps eg 6 dB. The Attack setting for the bass compressor must be fast enough so it responds quickly and ducks down fast. But also the Release setting for this compressor must also be pretty fast. As soon as the kick sound is gone you want the bass sound back up to normal.
