  I don't find it as melancholy as you and bapu do, but then again  I am continuously depressed.  I haven't had a happy moment in 15 years.  To the heart and mind, ignorance is kind.

I am sorry to hear that eph.  I get depressed sometimes too, but right now there is to much easy in my life to be depressed, and I am constantly reminded that I it could, might maybe, be worse, someday hope not

Boy I really like that guitar tone, that progression, and the vibe.
 
I hope you can develop this further. You might switch out the panned hi-hat hit for a softer ride cymbal. A nice swoosh might be a very classy add to your classy piece. Actually, brushes on a snare drum going swoop-swoop would be the thing.  ?
 
I noticed some mis-timings, or else it's free and loose, in which case, it's perfect.  :)
