Even though it's still a week away, I thought I'd wish everyone here a truly Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving.

Travel safely if you are doing that, eat well but sensibly, and ponder those things for which you are most thankful as others remember you as one of their best blessings.

Despite the strange state in which the nation finds itself currently, I think we still have much for which to be thankful.

I hope you and everybody on the forum have a happy and blessed cheap TV @ Walmart day.  Merry massacre the indigenous peoples, and a happy Uber over to the Watering Hole.

I don't really like to go for quantity (thanksgiving or not), but rather a good dose of quality food (in moderation of course).

We're having baby back ribs (instead of toykey....none of us like it) with all the other fixings.

My Mom and I will have what we always have for both Thanksgiving and Christmas:  Ham with sweet potatoes, rolls, peas and pearl onions plus some dessert and egg nog.

Sounds good, y'all. We've always had turkey since ever. My sister-in-law very graciously cooks for Thanksgiving (my wife cooks Christmas).

My family's always cooked turkey for Thanksgiving and most Christmases. If Christmas falls on Sunday, we make a roast beef of some sort as we don't like things cooking in the house when we're at church in the morning. Way back when, my mom occasionally made sauerbraten for Christmas with mashed potatoes and red cabbage. It was amazing. She'd marinate the beef for days. It would kind of fall apart when you cut with a fork.
