Sea Of Solitude is a moody poetic piece with a touch of this and that.

All comments welcomed.
Thanks for listening!

Got it!

More "folky" this one, methinks...

I like it, particularly when the drums come in. I like that ride cymbal plenty.

However, about 40 years ago, I really really really really really would have liked this.  :)

Excellent throwback instrumentation and holy hard panning, batman.

"Me" was thinking "folky" too, but then I stepped in with a thought or two, concerning the certain edgy progression of the tune.  This lead to a standoff between me and I, until the psychiatrist stepped in and prescribed "alternative rock" med's.  I obviously enjoyed your comment Andy! Thanks for the smiles!

Ut-O Tom. You must of missed the tiny warning label...
WARNING!!!
This tune contains HARD PANNING and may cause flashbacks, particularly those over the age of 40 who have fond memories.
If you believe you are experiencing any of the above symptoms, contact the "Green Hornet" at 1-800 KATO and immediately seek treatment. If you can't afford treatment, then  , your going to "really really really really really" like this!

Seriously, thanks so much for the great comment. I used head phones with this one and I had these monster strings which were drowning in verb without any help from me. So I tried to push them to the side, as much as I could, to minimize drowning out the left/right vocals/acoustic G in all that mud. It certainly opened up the center for the drums and bass too. Indeed, the separations are more noticeable on my tiny computer speakers. Headphones...not so much.

Best regards Tom and thanks for the nice comment!
Dean.

Hey FEC,

very well thought out piece
understated
nothing without the other
@1:30, I want to hear a more natural vocal, but that is just me, less verb me thinks, or whatever you did there.
here is a brainstorm, copy the vocals at :26, and paste them @ 2:09, try it, you might like it.

copy the vocals at 1:29, and paste them @ 2:30, but then I heard @ 2:;50, so maybe slide that to 2:30.

I don't ussually make comments on arrangments or mixes, and I don't know why I just did,

I like your song

Thanks for listening Jesse and sharing your ideas. Right at the moment I've got my hands filled with other projects and limited time to get them done. So I really can't become side tracked with the above experiment. Nevertheless, I will try to remember the suggestion when I listen to the tune again.  You may be right, I may like it!

Thanks Jesse!
