Wow Rock School. I used to watch that when I was a kid. You'd never see anything that dry and informative on TV these days. There would be some crap drum loop playing in the background and all sorts of nonsense flying across the screen. 

I've seen that YouTube link for months and always thought "I'll check that out someday."
 
Finally did!  That was fun, though I found I knew everything they were showing and how they make their "own" sounds is exactly what I would do (start with someone else's that was close and tweak a little).
 
I kept waiting for the chick with the guitars to wail out a quick fill too! LOL!

I bet you wish you could look that cool in those glasses and suspenders, ya? 
 

Funny, I posted a thread about Rock School last month. I wonder why it's started popping up on YT now.

Hadn't seen that post /thread. Noted you commented on it first.

Watching it, it just seemed more and more awful what musicians used to have to put up with to create keyboard sounds. Now we complain about $29 packs being worth it or not.

Since the examples in the clip were each revealing / shocking in their awfulness, it brought to my mind the Monty Python segment that details the old days.
