What would be the fluent, inexpensive way to get MP4 videos  (via AVI?) to DVDs with menus?
I doubt my old Pinnacle Hollywood supports the formats and resolutions the phone cameras use.

I'd be interested in the answer to this too. I have NCL's  VideoPad software for making and exporting vids, but it always fails when I try to burn to DVD.

I have Sony Movie Studio Platinum and I have just checked the render options. There are options to burn to either DVD or Bluray and with or without menus.
 
That said, I haven't tried it yet as I normally go straight to YouTube.

I think DVD Architect (I'm sure most of us here know of CD Architect) does more in terms of menus and stuff, but is more expensive:-
