I missed this one but yes, the T-RackS 5 Countdown states "Shipping 31 October 2017 12:00pm EST"

And yes, even then I know I will hear "It is November 1 here!!!" from Australia, etc before the noon EST launch.  This is why my world is full of sighs.

Indeed!  I didn't realize until today that whiskey and rye are the same thing or perhaps I may still be a bit confused on all that so I'll have to keep sampling both to be sure.

Whether or not rye and whiskey (whisky for our Canadian friends) are the same is a question that will get different answers depending on who you ask.
 
Why do we call Scotch 'Scotch' instead of just calling it 'whiskey'?  Or Bourbon?
 
Seems to me that the more specific names are used when it's important to the 'speaker' make a distinction.
 
Personally, I prefer a bit of rye blended with my corn squeezins.
