I bought a 2016 Memphis ES-339 earlier this year. Straight from Sweetwater.
 
Best Gibson I've ever owned - blows all my vintage ones away on fit/finish. 

I work about 2 miles from the Guitar Center in Arlington, so it is a frequent lunch time stop for me.  I stop by at least 3 times a month, if not more.  I was not a fan of the 2015 Les Paul and really disliked the changes that Gibson was trying to make.  I let the store manager know that early in 2015 and he said that he had heard the same comments from almost everyone that played a 2015.
 
However, since then, every 2016 and 2017 LP that I have played has been really high quality in play-ability, sound and finish.  I have not come across one yet that I would say was poor quality or cheap feeling.  Sure, the lower end Studio's are not as nice as upper models, but then they are priced less that $900.  
 
I have owned 3 Les Paul's in my life time.  A 1982 Standard, a 2002 Studio and currently a 2013 Studio.  All have been great instruments.  Both of the Studio's were excellent players without the bling.  The current 2013 LP Studio, may be the highest quality out of the 3 I've owned.  Maybe I've been lucky and just have not come across a poor quality LP, with all of them that I have played.  I don't recall ever seeing a finish flaw on any of the instruments at Guitar Center.  I've played many PRS's and they are great instruments, but for some reason, I've just never bonded with them.  
 
Seth, I am also a big fan of the ES models and have found the same high quality in the newer models that I have played.  I have never been much of a fan of Gibson acoustics and really prefer Martin's for acoustics.  

Oh....I will add, that there are 2 things I don't care for in my 2013 LP.  Not a fan of the circuit board electronics and quick connect pick ups.  I would rather have the option to solder my own PU of choice in the guitar.  I also don't care for the split coil switching/ push pull switch on the PU.  I will just play my Strat if I want single coils.  
 
Just give me a basic vintage style LP and I am happy.

I bought the new ES-275 last year and its become one of my favorite guitars. Definitely one of the more versatile ES guitars Gibson has produced.

I owned a PRS SE Custom 24 and it was decent, but NOTHING
compared to my CE24...it's night and day...so I'm sure the 
Custom 24 raises that even more...

You're right on the money, Larry.
I'm a PRS fan (Violet Custom 24 in my avatar)... and have owned quite a few of them.
I had a SE Custom 24 with Floyd Rose.  It was certainly a decent guitar (especially for the cost).
The PRS "Core" models are definitely higher caliber instruments than the SE.
The CE24 is pretty close to a Custom 24 (uses import bridge/tuners)... but with bolt-on neck.
The CE24s have a more "snappy" attack due to the bolt-on neck.
The finishes and body carves on the CE24s are beautiful.
 
I'm at a point where... if one guitar comes in... one guitar goes out.
Finally parted ways with the Custom 24 in my avatar.
Opted for a Wood Library Custom 24 (Korina body/neck, ebony fret-board, satin finish, "metal" pickups).
I didn't know if I'd like the satin finish.  The neck feels amazingly good. 
The satin red>gray burst (from front to back) is growing on me.
Sound and playability are among the best I've experienced.
 
I've owned several "Wood Library", "Artist Package", as well as numerous "10-top" and just standard "Core" PRS guitars.  All were beautiful.  Aside from the most recent, my favorites of the PRS guitars (I've owned) were not the Wood Library or Artist Package models.  My favorites were typically 10-tops and standard Core models.
Even with higher-end guitars, some just have that little extra something...

I should have clarified my statement about some recent make Les Paul Standards feeling "cheap".
There was nothing at all wrong with those Standards.  "Cheap" really isn't the right term.
I'm talking when compared to Gibson Custom Les Pauls ($4000-$6000)... and similarly priced higher-end guitars.
After playing Gibson Custom Les Pauls, the bar is pretty high.
I got a R9 (heavy discount at GC due to a couple small dings)... and the sound and playability have spoiled me to the point of almost not wanting to play anything else.
Traded three pretty nice guitars to get that R9.
Don't regret it for a second...

When I bought my '14 Studio Pro I knew the pups/board were coming out when I ordered it.  Replaced the oddball BB Pro+Classic with SD WLHs.  Wired it up JP style with 4 switching pots.  Love it.  Still a little heavy at 8 lbs+ though
 
My '99 '57 Custom BB is my favorite by far.  It's still perfect as it was when it came home with me from the shop.  My only complaint with it is the weight.  At 10# 9oz it gets heavy quicker and quicker every year.

That's all I can do.  One out, one in!  When I purchased my Mira Core, I knew that it would eventually be
headed out to move up.  The CE will move out to get to a Custom 24 (hopefully 10 top)
and then I should be good to go!  If I'm lucky, I'll get to keep the CE24 and sell my Hellraiser
and hopefully some other things and get a Custom 24, but that's not likely, as it would take a LOT
of extra to get there that way!

Of the 6 string electrics I have, the Gibsons are probably used the most (SG and Explorer).
Solid workhorses.
 
...but I just picked up a Suhr Strat - white/maple board/SSS.
That one's now in the #1 fave slot and I expect it to stay there.
 
I don't get rid of guitars anymore, they just get demoted in the rotation

My main guitar is also a 2013 Studio, and I really love it. It plays and feels great. I've tried and played a variety of higher end LP's, but I can't really find any fault with my Studio.
 
For a while, I thought that I'd eventually become obsessed with the idea of upgrading to a Standard or even a Custom, but I haven't. I'm good with my Studio.
 
Actually, now I am drooling over a white SG standard. :P
