Great song, great vocals!
I would personally mix the vocals i bit different and more "in your face", but that is just personal taste.

Very nice tune. I enjoyed it. Agree that a little less reverb on the vocals might help.

Herb, this is awesome. You know we spend a lot of time trying to make things better...but sometimes the honest truth is we should spend time appreciating what something really is. Maybe there is a minimum standard - like, you have to be able to speak the language for me to appreciate your poem, but see I can even argue against that because I can hear music in another language and it doesn't affect my appreciation.

Honestly dude, this is so good that I want the song! This is as close as you might get to a Dylan, Young or Stills & Nash song, both in it's honesty & brutal nature of being accurate with the emotion required to convey the truth of the thing. It's so good. And you know me - I say what I really think! There you go man - good job, very good job! I love the lyrics and the hook, just phenomenal.

I had to respond to this personally.   Honestly, I am humbled by your comments Joshua.

I'm so glad you heard this and liked it.

Great tune Herb, as usual. Really nice job on the vocal (please.. Lose the reverb!! Lol..) I haven't been around in a while. I'm very happy that I stopped by and came across this great tune. Well written and recorded (even if you keep the reverb.. Ha!). Good job.

Sounds great Mr Hartley! Reminds me a lot of Neil Young with your voice and strumming, and I mean that in the highest of compliments. The only thing I would change mix wise is I would add some more treble on your vocals. Your vocals sound great! Spot on! But some treble on the vocals would really add a bit of shine to this mix and make them stand out a little more. Just my thoughts on the mix, not complaining, just letting ya know what I am hearing on my side of the planet.

Enjoyed hearing this one very much! Keep on Keepin' on!

Thanks..... regarding the highs, I have to be careful and often error on the safe side due to high freq hearing loss attenuation. I personally love more high end, but for me to hear it in a mix, that generally means the highs are blasting out everyone else who doesn't have high end loss.

hi Herb. The song and production are spot on!
You sang it so well with so much feeling. I think all of it is super.
Funny how people comment on the reverb. There is so much right about this that small comments like that just don't fit. You did one heck of a job in so many ways.
Great job!

Really well done. Great lyrics. I like the next one too. Write a hit country song.
