At least if they're home made you actually know which part of the pig's anus was used in the sausage 




There's been quite a lot of discussion about that on many of the Scotch Egg forums I frequent.

When I went back t the UK, I grabbed a few from Sainsbury's and some pork pies too. It's been 5 years since I left, and this past year I have been craving sausage meat products. They are terrible here.  I wanted Tad in the Hole, but that will have to wait until next year.
 
My first Scotch Whisky 25/1/93, it was Burn's Night (The Scottish poet, not the power plant owner) and I was living with a Scot.
