Well..  Kinda/sorta.
 
Broke me'ole nose in martial class about 8 weeks ago and my septum deviated.  I'm going in for repair tomorrow; getting a general anesthesia.
 
Wanted to say, "goodbye," in case I don't return you know I've done the proverbial, "died on the table."
 
If I do happen to make it out alive just know, "it was a tiny break, didn't quite change the way my nose looked, so its not rhino-plasty!  its just septo-plasty!!"
 
Really wish I didn't have to do this ---  arrg!! super annoying.

Try to remember the dreams and stuff in there ... I'm on record for going out of the body and seeing some rather weird and far out things!

If I went out of body the weird and far out things I'd see is my body.

I've broken my nose eight times, but I never had to have surgery.  The last time I turned to see an errant softball getting very large before the sound of eggs breaking...  Bled like crazy and broken in three places, but it actually fixed several problems I had had with my nose.  Now it looks normal, not fat, not crooked and, best of all, I can breathe better and blow my nose!
 
On a more serious note, good luck!  We had a moderator for another forum I'm in that went in for "routine gall bladder surgery" and never came out of the anesthesia so, yeah, it can happen!  (He was less than 50 too...)

For me its all about breathing.  The airflow through the right side of my nose has been altered so negatively that it is very, very noticeable.
 
In other news, I just had my last bit of chips for the night lol..   I guess its just green tea from here on out

Good luck LP with the surgery....recover soon and get back to more important things....like Jethro Tull.
