Actually, because it represents a tiny minority of working computers worldwide, Apple has had to be more accommodating to working with the Windows world than vice versa. One example? It it pretty easy to network from an apple to a PC with built in tools. Your are more or less on your own connecting a Windows machine to an apple.
There are many others. Boot camp was developed because the small Apple market did not make it cost effective to program apps for OS whatever, so they needed a way to get to those.

If anyone is running a campaign to shut out the other guy, it is Windows.

btw I deprecate Apple. I resent (but use) Microsoft.

Ah, but they could have made money from people using PCs, had they not dropped PC support after acquiring Emagic.

At first, as a PC user, I wasn't all that happy to see Logic discontinued on the PC.

However, after switching to Mac, I think that there's a lot to be said in favor of that decision - the tight integration to the OS and the hardware now make Logic what it is.

Pretty much the same way many Sonar users will agree that there's an advantage in the fact that Cakewalk decides to focus on a single platform for Sonar and works closely w/ Microsoft.

As to why a Logic user would be on Cakewalk's forums (Sonar is only one of the forums, after all), well, it may be that some of us use (or try to use) other products, like Dimension or Zeta (which a nice example of cross-platform done wrong).

Plus, these are the coolest forums on the web. :)

FaceTime only lets you connect to other systems running Mac OSX and iOS, so though I do use it I wouldn't agree that it's better than Skype, which pretty much runs everywhere I want it (except on Xbox/Kinect)

Marcus , Apple is a closed shop... it's that simple (I used to fix / upgrade em many moons ago) and they very rarely licensed their tech to 3rd party companies.. http://www.zdnet.com/comp...c-os-sales-3002065932/

IBM allowed compatibles and well if they hadn't maybe things would be different. Also MS kept their OS to themselves and they made their money regardless of brand of PC with DOS / Windows.

so apple might lose money out on logic, no biggy they make it back on a mac..  and they have final cut pro for video stuff.

all companies will have good links with schools solely because their students will buy that brand  of software / hardware.
