This is a revision of a song   I wrote in 1986, now with lyrics.  It's a duet about a couple that met working in a bar and they realize that they love eachother.  In the weeds is a phrase we waiters and waitresses often use to mean *out of control*, like when there's a slow kitchen but hungry customers. Maybe you'll start tipping better after hearing this! Enjoy!

Great song well presented David.
My only nit, maybe take both vocals down in the mix slightly.

You the same guy???  :)

Hey I like this song, there are some subtle jazz chords I think stuck inside this pop progression. That's a good thing, they totally work. It's all recorded very well! Vocals are a treat.

I just kept waiting for Left Field to come in, the Avant Garde Gotcha, but it never did!

That's your new band name, btw. No charge.

I hope those two star-crossed bar dwellers get together soon before T. cuts their social security.

cheers,
-Tom

Hi Tom,

Thanks for listening.  I write in all styles.  I have a metal piece I'll post some day.  The chords are mostly pedal tones, which you know I'm sure are commonly used in jazz.  (they're notated as like C/D or G/B).  Thank you taking the time to listen.

Well I've looked up the new word, as I've never come across someone discribing the voice in a song/mix as being supervenient, to answer the question of the vocals being a little high in the said mix ...  Good song though and enjoyed it thanks

At the end of country music that I like, nice melody. As others have mentioned something needs to be done to the mix of the vocals, particularly the female vocal. Maybe not just the levels, it my just be my computer speakers but certain frequencies seem to too prominant and some EQ is needed.
