Well I've looked up the new word, as I've never come across someone discribing the voice in a song/mix as being supervenient, to answer the question of the vocals being a little high in the said mix ...

Thanks Supareels. It might have been a stretch to use supervenient. I didn't mean for it to be philosophical at all, it's mostly meant to mean unexpected. Almost in the same way would use vis a vis. The male voice viz the female voice, etc. Sorry for the confusion.
