What always occurs to me when listening to these pieces is that time seems to go by more quickly..I look at the timeline and 2-3 minutes have passed before I know it. With a song I'd be thinking 'come on, get to the chorus' by about 50 secs in  Splendid stuff Andy, a sonic treat. Like the 'heartbeat' drums a lot.

Hiya James,

Yeah, I know what you mean about the time thing. I sometimes listen to "classical" music, many of which are "long form" pieces, and I find it's the same... Time passes quickly, in a different way to singy songs.

That's not to say my stuff is "classical" haha!

I think that, as long as there is something changing, some Peeps want to know what is around the corner, so are hooked in...

Cheers, and thanks again for listening to my stuff

Okay Peeps,

I have created a video for Centaurus A now, for those that prefer yootoobs:-

If you don't fancy watching the full nine minutes (understandable) then at least fast forward to six minutes and let me know what you think of the pulsing colour "temperature" that matches the beat.

cheers,

and apologies for the bump.

The reason time flies so quickly is that in the fist 2-3 minutes, REM (rapid eye movement) goes into effect and by the time you know it, you're (unconsciously) fully deep into a spectacular dreamatic chorus.......I kid....I kid.....I kid!!!!

On a somewhat of serious note.......I did listen to the whole thing and appreciated the quality of details on my h-phones. The video also worked very well with this piece......however, the colour changes towards the end on the bass drum beat seemed a fraction earlier than the drum beat. Not a very big deal, but noticeable.

 Cheers mate, and well done!!

Haha! Yeah! You got it

Thanks, Mesh, for watching the video and I'm glad you found it to your liking

Not sure what went wrong with the timing. I thought I'd made sure that I got the timings on the down beat bang, checking against the Sonar project. I'm wondering if it was something to do with the effect, or perhaps something happened during the rendering process. Will try harder next time

cheers
