Wookiee
For the record AVAST are offering antivirus protection, with a free version if you need, to XP machines for the next three years.

The only observation about the tune that for an electronica tune the drums just do not work for me.  Other than that it is what it say in the title.

Thanks for sharing.

THE NIGHT FOX
Thanks Wookie for the listen , yea I guess you might say its more of a easy listening big beat song but it does have some electronic stuff going on in it . the title pretty much wraps it up , I tried to create some interesting changes throughout the music I created .
Right now its listed under Electronic ?Big Beat sitting at #2 on their chart list , pretty happy I landed there from the start .
As for the link you included I was reading the reviews on it on my iPhone 5c and it didn't get very good reviews for a freebee but thanks anyway .
I have a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate , an unopen copy that I wanted to install . I was waiting to finished this song before I tackle that long and tiring job of uninstalling and reinstalling all my music software .

Thanks again for your input on my song , cheers !

I can't give an honest opinion of my thoughts on the sound right now because I just spent the last 2 hours or so working in the yard running a lawn mower so my ears just aren't right for music right now honestly.

I will say, what I can tell is the drums are a bit too loud at time, you should add a limiter to the drum tracks james, try this on, I't s freeware : http://loudmax.blogspot.com/   It's the best there is honestly, it's a free VST. Just because someone puts a price on a product doesn't mean it's the best, this one is one of the best I have ever used or seen anywhere. I just started using it and in my opinion it's awesome!!!!!

This VST Limiter added to a track will help you control volume levels the easy way. Just remember you may need to freeze tracks some times, I don't care if you have a BILLION GB'S or RAM your processor or processors can only handle so much ya know.

Oh well, I'm no Mix master my friend, I just play and let my ears do what they can do.  I like the music, I like the drums, but the volume levels are just a bit too high at times and vary too much for my taste. Try that VST and don't forget to freeze the tracks. It doesn't matter if you have 100GB's of RAM, something you should know is that all that matters is the processors. Sometimes more ram can make a PC slower, it's a tricky thing.  My suggestion would be to "FREEZE" your tracks ALWAYS, that is a must, that puts it in a form where there aren't anymore VST's and such running taking up memory.

A lot of people think that just adding more and more RAM that their PC will automatically work better, but like I said that's not always the case.

Either way James, I thought I would mention a few things : "Just trying to help", I do know a little bit about computers and we chat a lot my FRIEND.

Did I like the music? Yes!!!!!! Needs some words and what I described above!!!!
Keep on keepin' on my friend!!!!

Dang Bobby thats alot of mowing you did the other day , did all that mowing effect your hearing  ? LOL
Not sure what your listening through but with my speaker Monitors my drum track sounds great and not over powering with the music I created here .
It was mean to have an upbeat big beat sound to it , its still listed at #2 on the charts under Electronica/Big Beat . Anyway thanks for your comments BUDDY , by the way when are you going to post some of your songs ?

Cheers !
James

LOL! Yes it did effect my hearing at the time. Sounds like a good song  James. This is not my genre of music so I can't really comment or critic things where the music goes. Sometimes you want the drums loud, especially in hard rock songs sometimes, people listening to it aren't expecting it and want you to turn it down, but then again sometimes the whole song is based off the loud drums and the drums are the key focal point of the song. So I can't really be a critic except say I like it, good work James! Also, you have been away from recording for a while and playing music since you moved, it's going to to take you a while to get back in the swing of things I'm sure.

I like this, it reminds me of the end credits to an old Kung Fu fighting movie where when the credits roll and the hero wins this is the sound of "Victory". I'm sorry James, it's not my genre and those are my opinions and impression.

Keep on keepin' on! Don't get caught up in a pickle where you sound goes!

Wow I wish I had not read that "old Kung Fu movie credits" comparison. that's just stuck in my head now!

I'd say this listen definitely holds interest. The drums (organic, roomy sounding) are not quite the electronic thing, but I like hybrids of genres just fine.

there's a funk guitar part towards the end that I think hampers things more than helps. Just my .02 quesos.

I really liked the overall idea of your piece, it has a nice groove!  If you are going to use the rock drums in an electronic piece you might dry them up a little or try putting a transient shaper on them and sucking the room down to something tighter. Just an idea.

Wow! Thanks James1213, honestly I didn't know it had been that long, I've been off the forums for a while now.
I can't see very well these days either and have a problem with dates an numbers.

I think "The Night Fox" was a character in the original Oceans Eleven series of movies that beat everyone to the prize where thieves go, but I could be wrong. Not saying it has any hidden meaning, I'm just saying that's what the name reminds me of.

As for the "KUNG FU" rolling the credits ending sound thought, I mean that as a compliment, I mean no disrespect at all to The Night Fox, I actually liked hearing that, that starts at 24 seconds into the tune, it sounds just like the end of a Kung Fu movie rolling the credits music.

Just my opinion.
