Wow I wish I had not read that "old Kung Fu movie credits" comparison. that's just stuck in my head now!
 
I'd say this listen definitely holds interest. The drums (organic, roomy sounding) are not quite the electronic thing, but I like hybrids of genres just fine.
 
there's a funk guitar part towards the end that I think hampers things more than helps. Just my .02 quesos.
 
I really liked the overall idea of your piece, it has a nice groove!  If you are going to use the rock drums in an electronic piece you might dry them up a little or try putting a transient shaper on them and sucking the room down to something tighter. Just an idea.

Starting at 24 seconds into the tune, it does sound like that. LOL! No offense meant to the O.P. or the person that played this but I can't help but hear it that way.

Got an Email from James and he's too scared to reply or come back to the forums I guess. I thought the tune was excellent also and that's one reason I replied. 
 
Some people say "Well you DUG THIS TUNE UP" which is okay to say, nothing wrong with that, but what they don't realize is that I haven't been on these forums for a long time and obviously the first thing I am going to lookup after getting on here are my friends ya know. What is wrong with that?
 
Why would someone go to a forum and not take the time to reply and listen to their friends? 
 
I'm not asking you Mark with those questions, I'm just trying to point out why I have replied to some older song post because there's nothing wrong with that, and I don't like the term "DIG IT UP" or "DUG IT UP" as though I done something wrong by actually taking the time to listen to someones music after not being here for a long while ya know. 
 
LOL! Maybe I was DUG UP! Who knows, Can you DIG? Hahahahaha 
 
Whatever the case, I liked this tune myself, and just throw'd a little KUNG FU into the idea of how it might be used.

James, this is one of your better tunes and you are getting great replies here and not saying NOTHING? 
 
Anyway, those are my thoughts. 

I was hoping to get James, who I consider my friend back to posting music here again. But apparently he's not interested in dealing with other people giving him advice on his sound or production. 
 
Either way, this KUNG FU tune as I call it sounds pretty good. 
 
And as for those of you who think that I AM THE PERSON POSTING THIS : NO I AM NOT!
