Hello..Building a new system to use with my V100 and included software. Will upgrade to X2 when I get comfortable with VS Production Pack software.I normally record my own blues, rock and folk tunes with a maximum of 20 tracks, live guitars, vocals and will use  Superior Drummer, soft synth basses and keyboards.Wondering if this compuer system would suffice.I dont want drop outs or major latency issue, just a simple setup to capture my ideas for publishing or to give to the band for performance.Any tweaking ideas appreciated.

The only thing I see is the Wireless (Wi Fi) card.  Wireless has been known to cause sound problems (pops and clicks) and some latency problems.  If you "must have" wireless then make sure you disable the wireless controller when you are using Sonar.

I just built a new system, the basic specs are in my signature.

FWIW, I wouldn't use that motherboard, RAM, and stock CPU cooler.

GUys..when you mention "disable WiFi", do you mean turning off the radio or disabling in Device Manager?

Thanks

I don't know how the builders, such as Jim Roseberry think about the new system I built (I know they want to build one for you - that's their business).

Sonar X1D Extended 64 bit zings along.  I'm using the built in Intel HD4000 graphics and so far no issues.  I get 6.5 Windows Experience score for both graphic parameters.  I get 7.7 for the CPU and 7.8 for the Memory (RAM) and 7.8 for the SSD drive.

i7 3770 CPU, 16GB of GSkill Ripsaw F3-14900CL9Q memory (listed as compatible with motherboard by Gigabyte), Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H motherboard (NO Wireless).  Corsair H80 Liquid CPU cooler (with aftermarket "quiet" fans). Antec 650 watt "quiet" modular power supply, Corsair Carbide 500R case.  OCZ Vertex 4, 128GB SSD (for OS and Sonar/Recording software) and 1TB 7200RPM hard drive for everything else. Two LG GH24LS70 CD/DVD burners (these are the only SATA burner drives I found that will burn audio CD-R's at 8X - my audio CD burning standard speed).
