Steve, this makes me want to get my cope of TH3 out and start playing.  The level of musicianship in this is stunning.  There's much to be learned here.

Steve,

Very creative playing and sound textures
You always bring me to a familiar sounding type of playing style & vibe of music that I wanted to do back in the day yet I never got the chance too do it...
I enjoy listening to your music . You set the bar pretty high .

Steve, your brain called, and it wants back inside your body.  :)

You have totally nailed this prog - such a fun listen, and like the others, I'd comment that while the execution is admirable, it's the conception that is truly stunning. You crank it out great, but jeez coming up with the parts in the first place and making them fit - that's the amazing part for me.

cool job!

Sounds great. I caught the Kansas, too.

wow - amazing musicianship Steve. love the synths and that recurring theme with the 'scales'.
The mix definitely has a band/live feel

Thanks, Daryl!   I was feeling a bit live and scaly with this one.

Gorgeous, textured, sublime analog feel!

Thanks, Tony!   To get anywhere near an analog feel is a good thing IMO.

String Jammer
Holy coolness! ELP meets Kansas!

Hehehe... thanks, Scott!    Both are DNA material.

Crazily good Steve, very complex but still melodic. Love the calm ending

Thanks, James!   After lots of notes during most of the tune the ending just seemed like the right thing to do...

Pretty cool stuff Steve. Nice job pulling this off.
I think the mix is pretty good the way it is. It suits the vibe of the song very well.

Thanks, Dan!  I appreciate the mix confirmation, I really was unsure about it.

Steve,
WOW!  I don't even know how one starts a project like this.  What do you lay down first?  Some parts - Zappa and Moogy Klingman meet.  Mix sounds great.  I listened in my studio (twice).

Thanks, John!   This one started with the two main sections as guitar lines, and just sorta built itself up from there.   I had to Google Moogy Klingman to realize his connection to Rundgren/Utopia and beyond!

Simply brilliant Steve...
I could make all the usual prog comparisons but that would detract from the fact that this is very much a Steve Cocchi Prog Classic.

Works really well as a short piece. Would be a great interlude sat in between two longer pieces, for sure.

Nice work!

Thanks, Andy!  Funny, I was sorta thinking the same thing as a potential prelude/interlude piece.  But that would mean I'd have to write something else to go with it.

Cool! Interesting prog-rock instrumental.
Good mix and sounds

Thank you, Makke!  I appreciate it.

I like this a lot. The bass is excellent and the changes in time signature work seamlessly, something thats not easy to acheive.

Thanks, Glyn!  I've heard your work before so I know you have a bit of the prog bug too.   And although I really don't consider myself a bassist, thanks for the props!

Thanks, Lynn!  I find all amp sims to be a bit hit or miss from song to song, fortunately TH3 was a hit this time around.  Regarding musicianship, growing up during the 70's there's more to live up to than could ever be achieved.   But hey, all we can do is try!  And FWIW, your musicianship is certainly nothing to sneeze at.

Thanks, Kenny!   I'm happy to hear the familiarity aspect, I like that.   And that said, with your abilities and technique you could do this type of thing and more.   See you at the bar.

Thanks, Tom!   Geez, I obviously need to put a leash on that thing...
Prog is in my DNA, so for me the execution is often more difficult than the concepts, but the concepts are certainly more fun!  I'm not that big into puzzles, but when the puzzle pieces are music my interest level changes...

Thanks, Wookiee!     ELP with a little Frippertronics sounds like a plan.

Thanks, Steve!   I've been a big Kansas fan for a long, long time, so I appreciate that.   Playing guitar and keys during the late 70's/early 80's I sorta wanted to be Kerry Livgren.
