Excellent song.  I listened twice.  I don't know if you already changed things but i think the Vox sits nicely.  I listened on my work computer's 5.1 system.  Sounded pro.  Very much loved the strings and where they come in.  The drums sound good to me.  Maybe I'd take a hair off their presence but that is me.  Love the mood you have created with the sound colors.  The stereo is super wide.  It's a winner, Lynn!  Really.

John, I appreciate you taking the  time to listen and your comments.  I don't have 5.1 in my studio, so it's good to know that it works in surround.  Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good :)

Hmmm...    I think I've just listened to my favorite Lynn song.  
 
Seriously, it's a cool song.  A bit different from other tunes you've done but I really like the direction.  It's a double listener for sure and just all around well done.
 
Regarding the drums, I like the slight roll feel it brings.  The only nit-picky change I would entertain is perhaps using a "crisper" snare tone, with a little loose snare rattle.   But who cares, this is some really good material

Very original song, Lynn, and matched by this off-beat* production. Love the quirky percussion and tasty string arrangement.
