So as you all know by now due to my incessant prattling on about it I am trying to use some ancient live off the floor recordings of my old band to produce the album that should have been released like a decade ago.
Anyhoo, I have two takes of each song from that session but for some reason ONE of the takes of ONE of the songs (the most utterly PITA one) was missing the vocal tracks after I transferred all the audio from my ANCIENT DAW onto my current rig (seriously it's an old XP system that is just buggered right to all heckpoop). That transfer occurred a few years ago (at least) and I was convinced I had gotten all the files when I did it.
The crappy part was the take missing the vocals was the better of the two and my master plan is to edit the takes together (after time correcting eeeeeverything... which is thankfully almost done... just this one last take of this last song).
I also want to use the extra vocals as doubles where appropriate so the fact those vox tracks were missing was really making my cray cray OCD brainballs extra cranky.
So I fired up the old beast (thing sounds like a damned jet taking off... lol) and went on a hunt to find the missing files... if they existed at all. After much buggering around HUZZAH!!!! I found them!
Eeeeexcellent!
*tents fingers*
