Mobile phones can be a scourge at concerts. People in the rows in front blocking you view holding them up and filming. Or even someone close by having a conversation on one, trying to shout over the music. Dubai audiences can be particular bad.

I absolutely agree. Why someone wants to go to the expense and commitment of going to a gig, only to stare at it through a 2 inch screen, held up in front of other people, just to put a rubbish version of it on YouTube, is utterly beyond me.

Great move! Mike Judge thought it would take many, many years before that movie became a reality. Unfortunately, it already has. 

I had pics of chrissie on my wall when I was a teenager.  I always felt she oozed sexiness. she's like Sophia Lauren...still looks sexy after all these years.

One of the things I like about getting older. Concerts I now go to are laid back. Everyone sits in their seats. No cameras (most shows would throw you out if you did use a camera). People just relax and enjoy the show. 

The last concert i was at, the seats were terrible.  Balcony, near the back, and all i could see was the pair of backing singers on the far side of the stage.  Thankfully, someone 2 rows ahead of me was recording it on their iPad.  I ended up watching the iPad because they actually had a view of the stage!

That issue could be resolved by having some screens showing the band for those in bad seats.

most 'artists' understand it is just the current way,
and get on with it.
 
this is the kind of thing that causes artists to get that good ole "over rated" moniker attached to them.
