Ha Ha

I mean errrrrrrrr.

Happy Hallow everyone

I love Halloween, esp since Nov 1 is my birthday.  65 and Medicare.   Actually I was on Medicare as of Oct 1.   Some weird rule for people born on the 1st of the month, Medicare starts the previous month.

Discrimination!

Fortunately, I still have a few years before having to deal with this.  I'm NOT happy that AARP has been bugging me for the last handful though...

They get it back at the other end, though. Your heirs have to pay back your last check for the month you die.

By the look of Duke's errm...lower regions, he may be hoping for a 'special' treat...

I don't know why, but I have the uncontrollable urge to go out and buy lipstick.

I think Duke is subliminally advertising Reaper.

We could all learn from Duke.  He's just a natural bad-ass who doesn't care what people think.

But on a more serious note ....

Dear USA

Please do your mother country the honour of obliterating the ghastly custom of 'Trick-or-Treat'.

That way, the moronic sheep in The UK who seem intent on blindly assimilating and devouring any and all Americana will have to find something better to do with my time.

May I suggest you revert to the time-honoured British customs of telling a few crap ghost stories and bobbing for apples. In your own homes that is, not mine.

Thanks!

I don't often beg to differ with my learned friend Steve, but 'trick or treat' is just the modern version of 'mumming', 'guising' or 'souling' that goes back hundreds of years in Britain. It only started in the US in the last century.

Indeed, you are correct mate.

But we had the good sense and common decency to stop doing it
