Haha, hadn't noticed. I don't remember exactly what I set it to I guess I'll have to see how close it saves to how I set it. It is annoying but I can live with it.

Frost. I've gone 2yrs in a huge audio files folder. It'll take weeks to get all those into per-projects!

The way to do this is quite simple, though it is time consuming.

First, make sure you've got the Per Project option set correctly.

Then, open up a project.

Do a "Save As" making sure "Copy audio With Project" is checked.
Save it to a different location - make a new Folder in Windows Explorer if necessary.

Rinse & repeat for all of your projects.

When you've done you can delete everything in the Global Audio Folder

IMO it would be good to Save As under a different name to avoid possible confusion or failing path problems.

I think the thing I HATE! about using per-project is that now it kind of limits me to either using a VST host to build/test sounds, or try stuff out INSIDE an existing project. I hate having to make folders for tiny tests that I'll never use again and only visit once every coupla months....

It is always the case with SONAR that anything you do happens inside a project regardless of the per-project setting. FWIW, you do not have to create any folders to test anything, Control-N will bring up a new empty SONAR project screen. I do have a test project though, I call it empty because I never save anything in it and frequently empty out the associated audio folder. Per-project folders are very useful. So is autosave and versioning. I have them all enabled and have benefited from them many times. Re-organizing a big pool of projects and audio might take a little time up front but it can make working with SONAR much easier in the long run.

When you save a new project, the dialog box gives you the option to overwrite the folder name or to save in a different place. You could easily save all your test projects in a single folder if you wish.
