As the last rays of sunlight play across the waters of the tarn the Nymph's come out to play. splashing, lightly tripping the surface, leaving little ripples of sparkling wonder.

Very nice Wookster. I like the mix of pretty and not so pretty chords. Definitely painted a picture with this one.

Very good!  I would randomize the splashes a little more at the beginning, as they are perhaps too predictable on the down beat.

i think i get the idea behind the splashes,
they occur as the 'water nymph' is continually diving into the water,
the music arpeggio at before each splash, is the initiation of the dive, 
and the 'splash' is the entry into the water...
 
actually, a video with this, would be best!
 
i like the composition, tho i think changing the voices at bridges and verses would be way more interesting than using the same main voice throughout

Bat yes but this track actually suffered from an oh! S**T moment when the system disk on my DAW decided not to be a system disk any longer and I did not have a recent backup so.....  Thanks for listening though.

Not sure about the "splashing sounds"  I get what they are but in the mix (to my ears) they actually sound like an email or document opening sound effect rather than a water splash.   Here are some public domain water sounds, one of them might pop out a little clearer.   http://soundbible.com/tags-splash.html  Water splash is pretty good.
 
Anyway, musically I think it is quite good.

I love to fly fish (try my best to anyway).  I like your ambient mix.  I do agree with others on the splashes.  I think of nymphs / flies delicately interacting with the surface of the water.  However, if this is a magnified version of nymphs emerging then I guess the sound of the splash would be louder.
