Sounded pretty authentic to me. Love the sound of that instrument.
Were you using a particular Middle Eastern (or similar)  musical scale?

I liked it...   But I've always liked "ethnic" music/instruments, coming from an American perspective.  I had no idea what a Ney was, but I do recognize it now!   Really well done getting lots of little inflections in there.
 
Mix-wise the only nit I have is that it all sounds a bit "soft", like the transients (particularly with the percussion) are a bit lost. 

did you have in mind *the knights who go ney! (sic)* in this piece?
