Soundwise thank you for bringing some sanity,to what I was shocked by,when opening my email thingy, and as I subscribe to the forum/threads etc I freaked out at just a heading :Craigs Departure-I've read a lot(nowhere near all) of his contributions, all the way back to Guitar player magazine-but this still a bummer to me,as his use of ONLY what is included with Platinum is beyond amazing.
I do wonder how Gibson etc Cakewalk, will ever find someone with such a talent to devote themselves to a software, and freely(meaning obviously apart from an internet connection fee in Australia i don't have to that I'm aware of $Pay up more) share the "Fridays tips",and I truly hope he drops in.
Bob(not so killer)

I did a whut in the whut now?

But hi, bob. How ya been?

I'm not sure what duplicate elimination powers I may or may not have (I have not received any memos on the matter) nor do I believe I've enacted any actions that may have de-actionated any duplications that may or may not have been eliminated nor de-eliminated but if you hand me that beer I think we could sort it all out.

:-)

heh... hope you been good, man

Yeah I'm ok,just my dupe disappeared right before you did your 1st post? Hope you're coping well as possible man,I haven't done a finished project for a while as "Factory refurbs" may all be suspect? I don't know, keep wailing, keep sane...possibly the more difficult of the 2 for me

Well... as I'm sure multiple "nurses" in mental health facilities all over the world have prophetically said at one point or another in their life...

"You cannot keep a truly crazy person down without horse debilitating amounts of thorazine"

Therefore my life philosophy (for the next five minutes) is to ALWAYS avoid people wielding comically large needles filled with thorazine.

Well, what has been changed?

what has been changed ??

No more E-zine/Tech and music, no more presets (cakewalks 30th year celebration with free new presets each month) No more Fridays Tips of the week. Those were all things Craig handled.
I'd like to think those three items alone count for a lot. Possibly you didn't use the tips, presets or red the E-zine but those were a huge plus for me. And all of them were free. We have yet heard of what is to become of them.

Nothing will become of them.

And I mean nothing.

No Tech Mag.

No Pre-sets.

No Friday tip.

Nothing.

CW never had the manpower to do those things in the first place.

AFAIK no one at Cakewalk has volunteered to take over. Then again every time scook posts it's equal to a tip of the week, maybe he could throw some of his expertise in there.

I posted this in the other thread before seeing your post:

I have most of the eZine done and 30 FX Chains that I think are really cool. I can't take the time to QC them because I was involved in a lot of projects at Gibson, and am trying to make sure anyone succeeding me has what they need to finish what I started.

If you want I can put what I have on craiganderton.com as long as you're aware that a) the eZine isn't finished, and b) while I'm 99.9% sure the FX Chains all work they may not be level-matched etc. Thoughts?

I'm also considering continuing the Tech+Music magazine with a different publisher, and not having a Cakewalk-centric focus. But I'm getting so many offers I have to choose how to spend my future time wisely.
